At Joss + J, we want you to love every hand-selected item as much as we do. If something isn’t quite right, we’ll handle your return with the same care we give to stitching our organic cotton bloomers and hand-knit bonnets.
Our Return Promise
We accept returns and exchanges within 15 days of delivery. All items must be:
- In original, unused condition
- With all tags attached
- In the original packaging (for delicate items like our soy wax candles or bath goods)
Note on Final Sale Items: For the safety of our littlest customers, we cannot accept returns on pacifiers (Animal Pacifiers category) or intimate bath goods (Bath Goods category). All other items from our Apothecary to Bicycles collections are eligible.
How to Return an Item
Our return process is as simple as dressing babe in one of our organic cotton bodysuits:
- Contact Us: Email [email protected] with your order number and return request within 15 days of delivery. Use our template below to make it easier.
- Wait for Instructions: We’ll respond within 2 business days with return authorization and shipping instructions.
- Package Carefully: Return items in their original packaging, wrapped as gently as we ship our hand-poured candles.
- Ship Back: Send to our Dallas studio using a trackable method. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error.

Refund Process
Once we receive and inspect your return:
- Timing: Refunds process within 5 business days of receipt
- Method: Funds will return to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
- Notification: You’ll receive an email confirmation as gentle as our lavender-scented bath salts arrival notice
Please note shipping costs are non-refundable, and international returns may be subject to customs fees.
Exchanges
Need a different size of our heirloom-quality baby blankets or a color variation of our hand-knit beanies?
- Follow the same return process above
- Clearly indicate your desired exchange item in your email
- We’ll ship your new item once we process the return (additional shipping charges may apply)
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your package arrived with damaged goods (like our delicate bath products) or incorrect items, contact us immediately at [email protected]. We’ll arrange a prepaid return label and rush your replacement with the same care we give to packing birthday surprise boxes.
International Returns
For our global family (excluding some Asian regions), please note:
- Mark the package as “Returned Goods” to avoid customs fees
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable
- Return shipping times vary by location (like our EMS deliveries)
